Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you visit our website.

Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal identification information (such as name, email address, phone number).
  • Technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and usage data).
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide through forms or interactions on our website.

How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our services.
  • To improve our website and user experience.
  • To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud.

How We Protect Your Information
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

The Persona Toolbar Browser Extension
Our optional browser extension, the Persona Toolbar, reads a public profile page you are viewing and creates a persona from it in your VSTRAT account. It does this only on the page you are looking at, and only at the moment you click its icon. It does not run in the background, does not read any other tab, and does not track the pages you visit.

What the extension collects
When you click the icon, the extension reads the information visible on that profile: the name, headline, current and past roles, education, skills, the summary or about text, the region shown on the profile, the profile address, and the profile photograph. That information is sent to VSTRAT, where it is used to create a persona stored in your own account. The extension does not collect your password, your browsing history, your device location, or your keystrokes and clicks. It stores one setting on your computer, the address of the VSTRAT server it talks to, and nothing else.

Information about other people
A persona created this way describes a real, named person who is not the account holder. That information is drawn only from a profile that person has published, it is visible only inside the account of the person who created it, and it is never sold, rented, or used to train models offered to anyone else.

If you do not want a persona made of you
Anyone may refuse. State on your own public profile that you do not want a VSTRAT persona created from it, naming VSTRAT, and the toolbar will decline and create nothing. If a persona of you already exists, write to info@vstrat.ai and we will remove it.

Sharing a persona with other people
A persona you have verified as yourself can be shared, and you choose who with: anyone who has the link, everyone whose VSTRAT login is on a domain you name, or a list of email addresses you enter. We record those domains and addresses so we can decide who is allowed to open the persona. You can change or remove them at any time, and turning sharing off closes the link immediately for everyone.

Emails we send on your behalf
If you ask us to, we email the addresses you have shared a persona with, telling them who shared it and giving them a link. Someone with no VSTRAT account also gets a code to create one. We use those addresses for that message and to decide who may open the persona. They are not added to any mailing list, are not sold or rented, and are not used to advertise to anyone.

Importing contacts from Google
When you choose Import from Gmail, we ask Google for permission to read your contacts, and you approve it on Google's own screen. We read the email addresses once, at that moment, so you can pick people from a list instead of typing them. We do not keep the access Google gives us: no token is stored, nothing runs later, and we cannot read your contacts again unless you go through the same approval. Names, phone numbers, photographs and notes are not requested and not read. Addresses you do not choose are discarded when you close the window. This step is optional; you can paste a list or upload a file instead, and nothing about your Google account is involved if you do.

Google API Services User Data Policy
VSTRAT's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the feature you asked for, is not transferred to anyone except as needed to provide it or where the law requires, is never sold, and is never used for advertising or to train generalised artificial intelligence models. We also sign in with Google, which tells us your name and email address so we can find or create your account.

Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted partners to help us perform business-related functions, provided they comply with our privacy policies.

Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. Please contact us if you wish to exercise these rights.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please review this policy periodically.

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at info@vstrat.ai.
